How are Turketta and porchetta seasoning packets packed?

  • Unfortunately, our supplier is not selling Turkettas this year. 

What are the heating instructions for the Roli Roti porchetta?

  • Unfortunately, our supplier is not selling Roli Roti Porchettas this year. 
  • Oven: Preheat to 450°F. Remove porchetta from packaging and place it skin side up on an oven-safe dish. Roast for 1 hour until golden brown. Rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  • Microwave: Puncture three holes in the pouch, place on a microwave-safe dish, and heat on high for 5 minutes.

Are the Turkettas brined?

  • No. Turkettas are hand-rolled, tied-boned, and stuffed with spices, ready to cook.
  • Keep in mind that Turkettas are not being sold this year because our supplier discontinued them.

How are fresh Turkettas thawed before delivery?

  • Fresh Turkettas undergo a gradual thawing over 4 days under refrigeration, progressing from approximately -10°F to 37°F.

Is the turkey used in the Turketta from Roli Roti organic or hormone-free?

  • The turkey is Non-GMO and sourced from Mary’s Free Range Chickens but not certified organic.

Is the Turkey in the Complete and Ultimate Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Organic?

  • Yes, both meal kits include the Fully Cooked Organic Oven Roasted Turkey (10-14 lb) from Diestel.

What does the Stuffing Kit in the Ultimate Thanksgiving Dinner include?

  • The kit is in a single box containing bread cubes, chicken broth, and stuffing mix. Note: Customers may think items are missing if the box remains unopened.

What contains tree nuts in the Ultimate Thanksgiving Dinner?

  • The stuffing kit contains walnuts, and hazelnuts are included as a topping for the Mustardy Beets Salad.

What size turkey is included in the Small Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner?

  • The GEK Thick Cut Roasted Turkey in the Small Dinner is sourced from Keller Crafted Meats (from Ferndale Farms) and is not organic.

What’s the smallest turkey you offer?

  • 8-10 lb turkeys are available from Diestel, Mary’s Free Range, and Oz Family Farm. We also offer Smaller roasts for those needing a smaller serving size.

  • The Complete and Ultimate Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner includes a 10-12 lb Organic Oven-Roasted Turkey from Diestel.

Will my turkey arrive fresh or frozen?

  • Turkeys listed as "frozen" will arrive frozen. Other turkeys may be previously frozen or hard-chilled and will typically arrive ready to cook if delivered between Monday and Wednesday of Thanksgiving week.

What is a hard-chilled turkey, and how does it arrive?

  • Hard-chilled turkeys are stored at approximately 28°F, often developing a thin ice layer on the outside. Most broad-breasted birds arrive fresh but with this ice cap, which should dissipate before delivery. Fully frozen and defrosted birds will be labeled as “previously frozen.”

Do I need to thaw my turkey?

  • For frozen turkeys, thaw in the fridge (24 hours per 4-5 lbs) or under cold running water (30 mins per lb). Hard-chilled turkeys typically require no additional steps. If there's residual ice, place the turkey in the packaging under cold running water for up to an hour before cooking. [See infographic here!]

Are smoked turkeys frozen or refrigerated?

  • Smoked turkeys are chilled, fully cooked, and ready to reheat.

Can smoked turkeys be refrigerated after being served?

  • Yes. They generally have a 6-day shelf life when refrigerated after opening.

Is the smoked turkey organic?

  • Smoked turkeys are Non-GMO Project Verified but not certified organic.

Smoked turkey reheating instructions:

  • Instructions are on the turkey’s packaging. Remove the bird from the bag, keep the nylon truss (oven-safe to 450°F) on the legs, and reheat at 325°F. Times vary by weight.


Fully Cooked Organic Oven Roasted Turkey reheating instructions:

  • Reheating instructions are on the packaging and the Diestel website. For oven reheating at 325°F, refer to the guide below:

Are frozen turkeys from last year?

  • No, all turkeys were hatched in the spring of 2025 and processed recently. In most cases, Turkeys were processed within the past one to two weeks.

Do you offer a deep-fried turkey option?

  • No, we only offer oven-roasted or smoked turkeys.

Will hard-chilled turkeys thaw overnight?

  • Turkeys intended for Thanksgiving (shipped after Nov. 18th) will have no ice cap left.

Can I request an exact turkey weight?

  • Unfortunately, exact weight requests cannot be accommodated, but we offer a variety of sizes to fit most needs.

Are Brined Spatchcocked Turkeys delivered with giblets?

  • No, they arrive without giblets, and the spine is removed for spatchcocking.

Do Mary’s Free Range Turkeys include giblets?

  • Yes, they do. The giblets are inside the turkey; a guide on locating them is available at Mary's Turkey Guide.

How long are Brined Spatchcocked Turkeys brined?

  • Turkeys are brined for 12-15 minutes per pound.

Are cooking instructions provided for brined spatchcocked turkeys?

  • No instructions are included. We recommend 6 minutes per pound until the internal temperature reaches 165°F at the thigh near the bone.

What’s in the Spatchcocked Turkey brine?

  • Ingredients include: Turkey, Water, Sea Salt, Coconut Sugar.

How is the Fully Cooked Organic Oven-Roasted Turkey packaged?

  • The turkey comes in a sealed plastic casing. A recycled aluminum roasting pan is included with Complete and Ultimate Turkey Dinner meal kits.

Does the Turketta Roast contain both white and dark meat?

  • Yes, the Turketta includes both dark and light meat from a deboned whole turkey.

  • Answer: Organic Oven-Roasted Turkey (10-12 lb) from Diestel.

2. Will my turkey arrive fresh or frozen?

  • Answer: Frozen turkeys will arrive frozen. Other turkeys will be hard-chilled or previously frozen and should be ready to cook if delivered between Monday-Wednesday of Thanksgiving week.

  • Answer: Meals are best within three days of delivery, though certain components may last longer.

3. Do you have a gluten-free Thanksgiving dinner?

  • Answer: No, but there are gluten-free a la carte items, including the Organic Oven-Roasted Turkey, Gluten-Free Dinner Rolls, Brussels Sprouts, and Mashed Potatoes.

4. Small Thanksgiving Dinner Pie Size

  • Answer: The small turkey dinner pie is 8 inches.

5. Do pies need to be refrigerated?

  • Answer: Yes, fresh pies need refrigeration. Beckman's pies may also be frozen.

6. Ingredients for Good Eggs Kitchen (GEK) Stuffing

  • Answer: Fennel-Carrot-Onion mix, butter, persimmons, walnuts, semi-dried figs, and sultanas.

7. What are the ingredients in the Stuffing Mix and the Gravy for the Small Thanksgiving Dinner? 


 

Preorder and Delivery Questions

1. Can preorders be processed for dates outside Thanksgiving week?

  • Answer: No, Thanksgiving Dinner Meals are only available for delivery during Thanksgiving week (Monday 11/24/25 - Thursday 11/27/25).

2. Will you deliver on Thanksgiving Day?

  • Answer: Yes, deliveries will be made, wrapping up around 1–3 pm on Thanksgiving Day. 

3. Can you add non-preorder items to a Thanksgiving order?

  • Answer: Yes, when your preorder is 3 days from the scheduled delivery day, we’ll notify you that you can add items from our wider product assortment to your holiday preorder.

4. Will you be delivering on Thanksgiving day or the day after Thanksgiving?

Yes, we will be offering Batch 1 deliveries. Our last deliveries will likely wrap up around 2 or 3 pm on T-Day.
On the day after Thanksgiving (Friday 11/28), we will be operating as normal. 

5. What are the available early preorder dates?

Pre-order starts:

  • Starts Monday 10/20 at 6am - ends Sunday 11/23 at 11pm
     

6. Can I place an early preorder on the Good Eggs mobile app?

You'll see Thanksgiving on the app after Oct 20th and while we have our exclusive early access preorder available for members, but you’ll be able to edit your order and add additional items to your order in the app once you place it on web or mobile web.

Order Modifications 

  • Order Changes: Customers can make changes to their orders up until 11 PM the night before delivery. This cutoff applies from Monday through Thursday.
  • Cancellations: For Thanksgiving deliveries specifically, customers have until 11 PM the night before to cancel or delay an order.
